Jesus says, “love your neighbor as you love yourself”(Matthew22:39), Gracepointe seeks to live out that command by looking for opportunities to serve those around us and around the world. Whether it be reaching out to meet a need one-on-one, or partnering with local organizations with an established ministry in the community. We want to have a positive effect on the people who live in our local communities and abroad. We partner with many worthy organizations who seek to serve Christ in our local area and abroad. Here are just a few of the local ministries we partner with.
Game Day gives GracePointe an opportunity to share the story of Jesus to children from an impoverished area of Trenton. We provide games, parties, snacks, and love to the children while sharing God’s message. Due to the COVID-19, we have to stop and hope to begin soon.
Edgewood Ministerial Association(EMA) brings together the Faith Community of the Edgewood School District by uniting Christians through worship, events, and service to others; share the truths of the Bible and the good news of Jesus Christ. GracePointe is a member of the EMA and supports its food pantry by collecting goods and furnishes financial assistance through the L.E.A.F. (Local Emergency Assistance Fund) program to the individuals in need. We support the Backpack Program that sends provisions home with children in the Edgewood School District so that they may receive a small meal rather than no meal at all.
Target Dayton Ministry is a life-changing ministry providing meals for thousands of poor and homeless people in the Dayton area. GracePointe gives financially and volunteers to help prepare meals.
Hope House Mission is a faith-based ministry, serving homeless men, women, and children in Butler, Warren, and surrounding counties in Southwest Ohio. Much more than an emergency shelter, Hope House Mission provides comprehensive programs and services designed to promote long-term, sustainable life transformation. GracePointe teaches a Healing Choice class and provides goods and services.
Nazarene Missions International exists to promote, educate, and fund local and global missions for the Church of the Nazarene. It “provides the structure and spiritual dynamic for mobilizing the church in mission.” At GracePointe, we choose to support this great ministry of the Nazarene Church through fundraising efforts such as Faith Promise and Alabaster Offering. Our missions council provides stewardship of these funds and assures that the dollars you so generously give to missions, reach as far as possible. Over the years, GracePointe teams have served in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic; as well as West Virgin and Missouri to aid in disaster relief.
Nazarene Compassionate Ministries works to support local churches around the world in their efforts to actively live compassion as a lifestyle. Following the example of Jesus, NCM partners with local congregations around the world to clothe, shelter, feed, heal, educate, and live in solidarity with those who suffer under oppression, injustice, violence, poverty, hunger, and disease. NCM exists in and through the Church of the Nazarene to proclaim the gospel to all people in word and deed.
